About the Program

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) are transforming industries worldwide, from healthcare and finance to e-commerce and smart cities. This Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) equips professionals and students with the skills to design, analyze, and implement AI and ML solutions for real-world challenges. With a flexible online format, the program provides rigorous academic training, hands-on experience with real-world datasets, and the latest advancements in AIML to prepare graduates for leadership roles in the evolving tech ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria

Institute Level Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum CPI 5.5 or 55% marks in the qualifying degree.

Applicants may qualify via:

  • 1.A valid score above department-stated cut-off in approved national-level exams as applicable to the program discipline (GATE/JAM/CEED/CAT/GRE/GMAT),
  • OR via IIT Kanpur’s online proctored entrance test.

Department Level Eligibility Criteria

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, or allied areas
  • Five-year MSc in Science or allied areas / PG degrees (MCA/MA) in Science, Mathematics, or allied areas
  • Department-conducted written test on basic mathematics

Exceptions for IITK Online Entrance Test

  • Professionals with over 5 years of relevant experience as defined by the concerned department.
  • Applicants with valid national-level test scores above the department specified cutoff.
  • Candidates nominated or sponsored by government/defense organizations.

Fee Structure

Fee Structure
Minimum Duration: 1 year / 3 trimesters

Trimester Fee (₹) (To be paid at the begining of Registration for each Trimester) ₹25,000
Course Fees/Credits ₹5000 per credit *
Minimum Credits 72 Credits
Evalution Fee/Credit ₹400
Total Fee (₹) ₹5,63,800
Application Fee (non-refundable) ₹15,000
Continuation Fee ₹5,000 per inactive trimester.

  • 25% fee concession for candidates sponsored/nominated by the Government/PSUs/Defence Organization.
  • 15% fee concession in a year for corporate bulk sponsored/nominated candidates (5 or more candidates in a year).
  • 40% concession on Program and Course/Tuition Fees for IITK Alumni.

* Course fees per credit may vary for interdisciplinary courses.
*** A part of Program fee (₹50,000) has to be deposited to confirm your registration in the program.
